Miscarriage Care
and Consultation
Early pregnancy bleeding or complications can be deeply distressing, and it is natural to feel anxious during this time. For some women, these symptoms may indicate a threatened miscarriage, which in some cases can continue and result in pregnancy loss. Others may experience a missed miscarriage with no symptoms at all. Both experiences can be heartbreaking and challenging to navigate emotionally and physically.
For some women, this may not be the first miscarriage. Experiencing multiple losses can be particularly distressing, and we are here to care for you and consider whether there may be underlying reasons. Sometimes the cause of a miscarriage can be identified, while in other cases there is no clear explanation. Even in these situations, further investigations can be considered where appropriate.
Care is focused on supporting your emotional wellbeing while providing expert clinical guidance from an experienced nurse and midwife. This includes symptom management, self-care advice, clinical care, pathology and ultrasound referrals, medical certificates, and coordination with your medical team.
I can provide guidance on miscarriage management tailored to you—surgical, medical, or expectant—with ongoing follow-up to ensure your health, safety, and emotional support.
I also offer counselling, grief support, and acknowledgment of your baby, helping you navigate this sensitive time with compassion. Referrals can be arranged to early pregnancy assessment services, genetics, fertility, or other private care. Care can be delivered via Telehealth, video, or face-to-face in your home, according to your comfort.
When you feel ready, we can discuss planning for a future pregnancy, including preconception advice, recommended investigations, and early pregnancy management. Please reach out early via phone or email to receive the care, clarity, and reassurance you deserve.

Pregnancy Loss Care
and Bereavement Support
I provide gentle, holistic support for women and families navigating the loss of a baby — from early pregnancy through to later stages and into the time after birth — offering compassionate care for both emotional wellbeing and physical recovery. This includes guidance with memory-making, funeral considerations, navigating paperwork and creating keepsakes. As well as clinical postnatal care for mothers, including lactation support, recovery from birth (vaginal birth and caesarean), and care following miscarriage management.
Most visits are scheduled after hours or on weekends so both parents can be present. We recognise that grief can affect mothers and fathers differently, and we focus on ensuring both parents receive tailored support.
Together, we explore practical and emotional challenges, including communicating with children, family, schools and workplaces, provide guidance on resources, community connections, and professional referrals to support families through this journey.
Later, when you feel ready, we can explore planning for you next pregnancy. This may include advice on fertility specialist input, relevant investigations, and strategies to support your physical and emotional wellbeing.
We can provide guidance on how to mentally prepare for and manage future pregnancies, helping you feel informed, supported, and prepared throughout the process.
